Scorbit Data Feed

The Scorbit Data Feed streams live game data from the pinball machines you own or operate to software you control. Scores, balls, players and modes arrive in real time, so you can build exactly the display you want: a broadcast overlay, a scoreboard on your venue's screens, a page on your website, or an integration with your own systems.

It is for venue operators who build their own tools, or who work with a developer who does. If you want a ready-made display instead, ScorbitVision boards are hosted and managed for you, with no code required.

What You Can Build

  • A live-stream overlay. Show current scores, ball and player on a Twitch or YouTube stream with an OBS browser source. The Quick Start gets a working overlay on screen in a few minutes.
  • Your own scoreboard. Design a display that matches your venue's branding and run it on any TV, projector or kiosk.
  • Your website or app. Show what is being played right now, game by game.
  • Integrations. Feed live game state into your own league tools, venue screens or other systems.

How It Works

Your machines ──► Scorbit ──live feed──► scorbit-feed agent ──► Your overlay,
or your own server display or app
  1. Your machines report game data to Scorbit as they always do.
  2. With an API key from Scorbit Console, you open a feed: a live stream of updates for the machines your key covers.
  3. Software you run receives the updates and renders them. That software is either the ready-made scorbit-feed agent, which serves the feed on your own computer for OBS and local pages, or your own code using the @scorbit/feed library.

Each update carries the current state of every machine in the feed. A feed stays open while something is connected to it, and ends about two minutes after nothing is.

What You Need

  • A Scorbit account that owns or operates the machines, with data feeds enabled. See Getting Access.
  • An API key from the Developer page in Scorbit Console.
  • Node.js 22 or later, on the computer that runs the agent or your code.
  • Agreement to the Scorbit Developer Terms, including showing Scorbit attribution wherever feed data appears. See Branding and Media Kit.

Player Information

Updates include the players who claimed a position on a machine: their username, display name, initials and avatar. Unclaimed positions carry no player. The Developer Terms set strict rules on how you may show and keep player information. See Feed Data Reference.
